How it works.

Three practical steps from your to-do list to the next appointment.

  1. Send a few photos

A close-up, a wider view and your postcode give me a useful starting point. Add a product link if you have chosen a fitting.

  2. Talk me through the job

Tell me about your list, materials and access. We will agree the scope, price and availability before booking.

  3. Agree the next step

Confirm what is included and prepare the space. Some jobs need a closer assessment or the appropriate specialist.

A few useful answers.

Know what to send and what to expect before arranging your job.

What are your handyman rates?

Labour is £50 for the first hour, then £25 per additional 30 minutes, including VAT. The minimum labour charge is £50 including VAT, even if the work takes less than an hour. Materials are charged at their net cost (excluding VAT) plus 10%, then 20% VAT. There is no separate travel or parking charge. Send your job list and postcode so we can discuss the work, materials and total before booking. See how the rates and quote work.

How do I get a quote for a handyman job?

Tell me what you need, your full name, address and postcode using the enquiry form. Add clear photos when you open WhatsApp. I will discuss the work, materials, price and availability with you before a booking is agreed.

Should I buy materials or replacement parts first?

Send me the product link and tell me what you already have before ordering unfamiliar parts. The right fixing or replacement depends on the actual installation. My job-list advice explains which details to gather for assembly and fitting.

Can you help with water-filter maintenance as well as installation?

Yes, you can ask me about installation and maintenance. Send the system model, the work needed and accessible photos of the cupboard. My water-filter guide covers cartridge details, space and the questions to discuss before a visit.

What should I tell you about access to my home?

Let me know about stairs, lifts, parking restrictions and entry arrangements. If permissions are needed for the work, mention those too. You can include this with your job list in the enquiry form.

Can I put several small jobs on one enquiry?

Yes, send me the full list rather than only the first task. Include photos, quantities and any products you already have. The Kingston job-list checklist explains the details that help assess several tasks together.

What should I send on WhatsApp?

Send me your postcode, a short description, a close-up photo and a wider view. For furniture or fittings, add the model or product link. Mention access restrictions and whether you own or rent the property. See the booking preparation advice.

Do you cover my area?

I cover the boroughs of Kingston upon Thames, Richmond upon Thames and Merton, shown in areas covered. Send your full postcode so the exact address, work and availability can be confirmed. A town name alone does not confirm an appointment.

Can every repair be handled by a handyman?

No. Some faults and installations need an appropriately qualified specialist. Describe the problem first and read the specialist-work boundaries. Do not continue using a fitting that appears unsafe while waiting for advice.
